OSE Lions were forced to rebuild their entire roster ahead of the 2026/27 season following serious financial difficulties and bankruptcy. The club lost its entire previous squad and has since assembled a completely new team built around young, ambitious players with limited senior-level experience. They have also recruited several foreign players, with Serbian guard Dušan Stojičić emerging as their standout player so far, scoring 22 points in each of their opening two games against Szombathely (74-98) and Szolnoki Olaj (104-93).

However, head coach Forray has additional personnel concerns ahead of this game. He confirmed that Ádám Balsay has undergone knee surgery and will be unavailable for several months, describing his absence as a particularly significant setback. Minor injuries and illnesses have also disrupted the team’s preparations, further complicating their efforts to establish consistency with an already inexperienced roster.

NKA Pécs have also suffered two consecutive defeats, including an away loss to Atomerőmű Paks. Nevertheless, they demonstrated considerable potential against Szolnoki Olaj, holding an 11-point lead midway through the fourth quarter before ultimately losing the game. That collapse will undoubtedly leave them determined to respond positively.

With both teams still searching for their first victory of the season, NKA Pécs have additional motivation to turn their performances into a positive result.
