FC Eindhoven made a mixed start to the season, opening with a narrow 0:1 victory away to Jong AZ, before losing 2:3 to MVV and suffering a heavy 5:2 defeat against Den Bosch in the last round. Their task becomes even more difficult here with the absence of one of their important players, Tyrese Simons (2/0).
Heracles returned to the Eerste Divisie following relegation from the Eredivisie and have made an immediate return to the top flight their clear objective. Despite losing a few players during the summer, they managed to retain much of their starting lineup and have strengthened further with Naci Ünüvar, Erik Ahlstrand and Lequincio Zeefuik.
All three additions bring significant quality at this level and have added even more attacking firepower to an already talented squad.
Heracles have made an impressive start, producing three high-scoring performances and scoring 14 goals, with their latest result particularly impressive – a 1:6 away victory over Jong Utrecht.
For me, Heracles are the strongest team in the Eerste Divisie and have everything required to dominate in Eerste Divisie.
