CFR Cluj are facing significant squad concerns ahead of the city derby against Universitatea Cluj. Head coach Șumudică has confirmed that six players – Cordea (14/5), Camora (13/1), Braun (13/0), Drazic (11/5), Rocha (10/0) and Nalic (2/0) have been dealing with viral infections in recent days, with their availability for the derby considered highly doubtful.
CFR have also lost Biliboc (14/2), who only returned from international duty with Romania U21 on the morning of the match, leaving Șumudică with further selection problems ahead of an already demanding fixture.
