Panerythraikos made an impressive start to the new Elite League campaign and will now look to build on that momentum in the second round of the championship.
The Nea Erythraia side host Lavrio at the Erythraia Indoor Gymnasium “Stelios Kalaitzis”, aiming to secure back-to-back victories and maintain their strong early-season form.
Panerythraikos opened their campaign in emphatic fashion, recording a commanding 92-111 away victory over Papagou. Their offensive performance was particularly impressive, as they established a 19-point advantage by the end of the third quarter, allowing them to rest several key players during the final quarter.
Lavrio also began the season with a victory, defeating Psychiko 74-55. However, despite that convincing result, their overall roster appears considerably weaker than Panerythraikos’, particularly in terms of foreign-player quality, with just one relatively modest import.
Panerythraikos have invested heavily in their squad this season, bringing in three foreign players alongside Greek players with experience in the top division. Their ambitions are clear: they intend to compete seriously for promotion.
The odds are already dropping significantly, reflecting the growing market interest in Panerythraikos.
