Recap
Menorca are facing significant personnel problems and will have only nine players available, with their best player, Cvetkovic, sidelined through injury. Gerónimo Rubio de la Rosa and AJ Slaughter are also unavailable, further weakening an already limited rotation.
Rubio de la Rosa, who signed at the end of August, has yet to arrive on the island due to visa issues, delaying the shooting guard’s debut. Slaughter is currently playing for Astros de Jalisco in the Mexican league. He is expected to join Menorca after completing his commitments in Mexico, although that could be delayed until December if his team reaches the finals.
Another major loss is American shooting guard Spencer Littleson, Menorca’s best player last season, who has since left the club to join Palencia. As a result, Menorca currently lack a natural shooting guard and are averaging just 66 points and four three-pointers per game, highlighting their offensive limitations.
Palencia is among the leading candidates for promotion and have a strong opportunity to take advantage of Menorca’s depleted roster.
