Recap

After being held to a draw by Mallorca B at the Antonio Puchades Stadium, Óscar Sánchez’s side now travel to face one of the six Murcian clubs competing in Segunda RFEF.

UCAM Murcia began the season with a disappointing defeat against newly promoted Castellonense and will be highly motivated to claim their first victory in their opening home fixture. They have traditionally been a very strong side on home soil, as demonstrated by their impressive 11-4-2 record at home last season. With the backing of their supporters and the need to respond after their opening-round setback, they should make life extremely difficult for Valencia B.

The visitors are also dealing with significant squad availability issues. Several players have been called up by the first team, including Alejandro Panach, Rodrigo Gamón, Iker Córdoba, Aaron Mayol, Jaume Durà, David Otorbi and Aimar Blázquez. Some of them could potentially join the reserve side in Murcia, given that Valencia’s first team are scheduled to play in Seville on Friday night, but their availability remains uncertain.

In addition, Valencia B will be without Carlos Alós, Pablo López, Marc Jurado, Mario González and Alain Gómez due to injuries, further reducing Óscar Sánchez’s options.

UCAM Murcia is strong at home, motivated to bounce back from the opening defeat and I believe that have a very good opportunity to secure their first victory in front of their supporters.
