Recap
Monaco once again demonstrated their enormous quality and depth during the playoff quarterfinals. Even with seven players, Monaco still looked a level above most teams in France, comfortably eliminating JL Bourg Basket with two convincing victories.
The second game especially highlighted their offensive power, as Monaco won away from home 103-114 with a dominant attacking performance and complete control of the tempo.
Nanterre also reached the semifinals after defeating Le Mans 2-0 in the series, but their path looked far less convincing. In the second game, Nanterre struggled offensively for long periods before eventually grinding out a 64-55 victory.
A major issue for the visitors remains the absence of their best player, Dossou-Yovo, who averaged 17.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. His absence is particularly significant against an elite team like Monaco.
