Recap
A lot of attention is focused on the licensing situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Radnik Bijeljina and Rudar Prijedor didn’t receive a license in the first-instance decision. However, both clubs still have the right to appeal and if they secure survival on the pitch, there is strong belief that the second-instance commission could approve their licenses once financial guarantees are provided.
At the same time, the bottom two teams are relegated regardless of entity affiliation, while promotion places belong to the champions of the First League of BiH and the First League of Republika Srpska. If any promoted club fails to meet the criteria, the opportunity passes to the next team in line – currently ÄŒelik Zenica from the Federation and likely Leotar from Republika Srpska.
As for today’s match, Borac Banja Luka is expected to rotate heavily after winning the Republika Srpska Cup just two days ago against Radnik. Interestingly, even in that final, Radnik rested several key players because today’s clash carries far greater importance for them.
Radnik needs only one point to secure survival, while Borac already looks mentally on vacation.
