Recap
Burgess Hill are coming off a demanding week and are dealing with a significantly depleted squad. They had only 14 fit senior players available for their previous match, while Ben Pope suffered an injury as early as the 23rd minute against Enfield Town. Their opponents took full advantage of the situation, securing a convincing 0-6 victory and handing Burgess Hill their second consecutive defeat, where they concede 9 goals.
The squad situation remains a concern, with manager Gary Mansell having called up three academy youngsters – King, Willer and Chalaye to strengthen the substitutes bench.
They now face another North London opponent, Wingate & Finchley, who recently saw their three match winning streak come to an end with an away draw against 4th placed Lewes. Nevertheless, that was a respectable result, and their home performances have been particularly strong, with a record of 4-1-1.
The h2h record at Maurice Rebak Stadium further supports the hosts, with Wingate & Finchley winning four and drawing one of their last five meetings against Burgess Hill.
