In Icelandic basketball, Alftanes have been likened to Bayern Munich in football, reflecting their financial strength and ambitious recruitment strategy. The club have invested heavily in assembling a high quality roster, bringing in several talented foreign players and their dominance has been evident from the very beginning of the season. Alftanes have won all three opening games by margins of 20, 31 and 34 points, underlining the significant gap between them and their opponents.
Tindastoll have also made a perfect start, winning all their games so far, but I believe Alftanes possess an exceptional quality and depth of their roster and will not be surprised to see them go through the entire season unbeaten.
