Brod na Savi are the reigning Croatian champions, but they have significantly weakened their roster after selling several key players during the summer. Their decline has already been evident in the opening rounds of the European campaign, suffering heavy defeats against Jairis (79-44) and DVTK (56-89). Their situation is further complicated by injury problems and they have travelled for this fixture with just eight players and two or three of those available are young players from the club’s academy.
Panathlitikos should be considerably more competitive on their own court. The Greek league is generally stronger than the Croatian, while Panathlitikos have three quality foreign players who can make a significant difference.
