Recap
These two teams are a perfect example of the hectic and unpredictable nature of the NB I, where the standings can change dramatically from one round to another.
MTK Budapest are currently just three points off the top of the table, while Kisvárda find themselves only slightly above the relegation zone. The hosts possess the stronger squad and have established themselves as an extremely creative and proactive side. They are comfortable controlling possession, playing on the front foot and creating chances through the individual quality of their attacking players. MTK have already scored 13 goals, level with Paks and Újpest and their attacking potential is particularly dangerous at the Hidegkuti Nándor Stadion.
Kisvárda have managed to collect draws in their last two matches against Debrecen and Győr, once again demonstrating their defensive resilience. However, their task is made considerably more difficult by several important absences, with Radmanovac (6/0), Oláh (2/0) and Gyurkó unavailable for this match.
Kisvárda have also struggled significantly on their recent visits to the Hidegkuti Nándor Stadion, losing their last three away matches there without collecting a single point. Considering MTK’s stronger squad, attacking quality, home advantage and the visitors’ defensive absences, I believe the hosts have an excellent opportunity to secure an important victory.
