The result from the first leg doesn’t accurately reflect how dangerous LASK were in Glasgow. Despite the heavy defeat (3-0), the Austrian side registered 20 shots, struck the woodwork, have situations one on one with the goalkeeper and had two goals ruled out for offside.
With no room left for calculation, LASK must score at least three goals to completely overturn the tie, so I expect the hosts to adopt an extremely aggressive approach from the opening whistle. Their attacking numbers suggest they have the quality to create chances, having scored nine goals in their first three league matches before dismantling Kalsdorf 7-0 in the Cup.
Celtic have no need to chase the game and can afford to remain more conservative, which should allow LASK to enjoy greater possession and find additional space around the penalty area.
The focus here is not on LASK completing the comeback, but simply on the hosts turning their expected dominance and attacking pressure into goals.
