Zlín are going through a very difficult start to the season, having lost all five of their opening matches in the Chance League and still waiting for their first point. Their schedule is not getting any easier either, with another demanding league fixture against Zbrojovka Brno coming on Saturday.
Their immediate focus is on the cup trip to Uničov and coach Bronislav Červenka is expected to make significant changes to his starting lineup. Players who featured against Liberec over the weekend are likely to be rested, opening the door for youngsters and several summer signings who are still adapting to their new surroundings.
This level of rotation could have a major impact on Zlín’s performance, particularly against a motivated lower-league opponent playing at home.
Uničov have made an excellent start to their MSFL campaign, recording a 3-0-1 record from their opening four matches. They are in good rhythm, have confidence on their side and will be highly motivated to test themselves against a top-flight opponent.
With Zlín struggling badly, likely to rotate heavily and already having another important league match just a few days later, Uničov have a very good opportunity to make this a difficult cup tie.
