Kisvárda made a positive start to the season but have since suffered defeats in their last two matches. The team remains true to its traditional identity: tactically disciplined, physically strong and difficult to break down.
They opened the campaign with a home draw against Honvéd before producing an impressive away victory over Puskás Akadémia. However, they then suffered a 2:4 home defeat to Újpest and most recently lost 2:1 away to Nyíregyháza, conceding the decisive goal in the 91st minute.
Kisvárda are expected to be involved in the relegation battle this season, making home matches against weakened opponents particularly important. They now welcome Debrecen, who arrive with a severely depleted squad.

These absences significantly reduce Debrecen’s squad depth and options, while their performances away from home have also been far from convincing.
Kisvárda have already shown that they are capable of competing against stronger opposition and with home advantage combined with Debrecen’s extensive absences, I believe the hosts have a very good opportunity to get back on track and take at least one point.
