Recap
Sepsi, together with Rapid Bucharest, is considered one of the strongest teams in Romania at the moment. Still, the first play-off game didn’t go according to expectations, as Târgoviște managed to surprise everyone with a 70–64 win.
It seemed like Sepsi didn’t fully respect the challenge, while Târgoviște benefited from strong performances, especially from recent additions like Pinzan and Virjoghe. On top of that, Sepsi had serious issues during the game, struggling to adapt, and their efficiency dropped badly, shooting at only around 30%.
From what we’re hearing around the team, the mindset has completely changed ahead of this matchup. Sources close to the squad suggest the focus is now at maximum level, with players highly motivated and significant financial incentives tied to a win.
Everything points toward a much more aggressive and determined Sepsi performance this time — they know very well that anything less could cost them everything.
