Illness has hit Eskilsminne particularly hard since last weekend’s league match against Trollhättan, creating major selection problems for head coach Roar Hansen ahead of the trip to newcomers Laholm. The situation is so uncertain that Hansen himself admitted: “I don’t know with what squad we will go to Laholm. I am very humble about the task ahead, given the state of our team.”
Eskilsminne will also be without key midfielder Christian Ljungberg, who is suspended, further reducing Hansen’s options and weakening an already depleted squad.
This represents an ideal opportunity for Laholm to end their four-match winless run and collect some valuable points in their battle for survival in Södra.
