Recap
Quimper are mired in a deep crisis, sitting in the penultimate position after losing nine of their last eleven games, including three consecutive defeats. The most recent setback – a crushing 105-66 loss away to Aix Maurienne Savoie, marked the heaviest defeat in the club’s history in LNB Pro B.
Before the international break, Quimper must navigate one more demanding fixture, this time against Vichy and they will do so with a severely depleted roster as Abrams (10.2 PPG), Thévenard (7.3 PPG), Injai (5.2 PPG) and Dudit (4.5 PPG) are all sidelined through injury, stripping the team of valuable scoring options and rotation depth. The absence of both Abrams and Thévenard, in particular, significantly weakens their offense.
Vichy, meanwhile, saw their brief two-game winning streak halted by a narrow 75-72 defeat away to Evreux, but this match presents an ideal opportunity to return to winning ways and remain firmly in contention for a top-six finish. Notably, in late December 2025, Vichy delivered a dominant 91-55 victory over Quimper a game in which Abrams and Thévenard were the leading scorers for the losing side.
Given Quimper’s alarming defensive fragility, poor form and key absences, Vichy appear well-positioned to capitalize and score a double digit victory.
